Important Testing Information
Who is eligible for Spanish Immersion Testing?
Frasch Elementary Spanish Immersion testing is open to all new, incoming kindergarten students for the 2025 - 2026 school year that reside in west Calcasieu Parish area, i.e. Sulphur, Westlake, DeQuincy, Vinton, Starks. Entrance testing is in place to select students that will make up the entire Spanish Immersion class for that incoming year. All applicants that register for enrollment will be offered a testing date. Class roster spots will be filled according to the ranking of test scores and other information taken into consideration by admin. Testing will take place on site.

IMPORTANT TESTING INFORMATION
- Students should arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of their test.
- Students will enter the school at the front office entrance (facing Ruth Street, the East Side of the school. Parking is available in the car pick-up area, and along Ruth Street. Please do not double park in our car pick-up area, blocking traffic.
- Any student with fever or health concerns will be required to reschedule.
- Parents/guardians are invited to wait in their vehicles or the front lobby while the test is being administered. A return time will be shared with each testing group.
- All registered applicants will be tested by the end of February.
- Results will be sent out no later than mid May.
*Applicants will not come in contact with current students on our campus.
* Required documents for official school registration (birth certificate, social security card, shot record, parent/guardian ID and two proofs of residency) will be collected when a position is offered. You will also be required to complete the CPSB New Student Online Registration process if not already a CPSB Pre-K student. An Out Of Zone Request must also be submitted to our Child Welfare and Attendance Department for those that reside outside of the Frasch Attendance Zone. Acceptance is dependent upon meeting all eligibility requirements.
